Winter Break Richmond Kid’s Club : SCOR & Sweets!

December 20, 2017 8:30 pm - 4:00 pm

CHS Richmond Office and SCOR facility

For our Winter Break Kid’s Club we will start the day getting out some energy in fun and definitely goofy ways at the newly opened SCOR facility. Here we will get to play a number of team games, from obstacle courses to bubble soccer.

Following our morning of energetic activity, we will eat lunch and then get in the spirit of the season by having our very own holiday bake off! Our kids and teens will get into teams and show their creative culinary talents in baking holiday sweets. Prizes will be awarded for best in show, most creative, and most unique designs. And of course, we will enjoy our delicious creations with hot cocoa afterward!

Where: Drop off is at 8:30 am and pick up is at 4:00 pm at the CHS office in Richmond on August 24. Staff or trained volunteers will transport children to and from the park.

Kid’s Club is a day of fun and adoption awareness for children and teens who all share the experience of having been adopted or in foster care. Kid’s Club provides an opportunity to relax and relate to other kids and teens who have a shared connection. Our trained staff will guide children through activities that are fun and adoption-focused. We’ll encourage friendships and social skills-building throughout the day. Parents can trust that they are providing their children with an environment in which they feel included and where our staff can ensure their needs are met in a healthy way.

Cost: $20 per child. We ask that you send your child with a packed lunch to preserve as much time as possible for fun!

Ages: Kid’s Club is open to children and teens ages 6-18. We are also accepting applications for “Counselors in Training” for teens and young adults ages 16-21. Applicants need to complete an interview and orientation prior to attending.

For more information about Kid’s Club, please contact Sara Buckheit at or by calling 804-353-0191 ext. 200.
