Each year, Children’s Home Society of Virginia hosts an event to raise community awareness of adoption-related issues, as well as raise funds to support our impactful work. This year’s event featured the opportunity to learn a little more about all the services CHS offers, from infant adoption, foster care adoption and post-adoption services to The Possibilities Project for youth who have aged out of the foster care system.

The Legacy Event is designed to celebrate CHS’s accomplishments this past year and to support our mission of finding a permanent home for every child into the future. This year CHS was excited to welcome as o
ur Keynote Speaker the Honorable Anne B. Holton, former First Lady of Virginia and an ardent supporter of CHS’s mission.
Anne is currently on the Virginia Board of Education. She is also the former Secretary of Education, and a former juvenile and domestic relations (J&DR) judge in Virginia.
