At CHSVA, inclusion is a core value that shapes our leadership, workplace culture, and service delivery. We are committed to amplifying the voices of those we serve and valuing the perspectives of all individuals. We believe that fostering an inclusive workplace strengthens our organization, enhances our impact, and supports achievement and opportunity for all in the communities where we live and work.
To uphold this commitment, we established the Inclusion Team Toward Open-mindedness (ITTO)—a dedicated group of CHSVA staff working to keep equity and inclusion at the forefront of our agency’s growth. Open to all employees, this team represents various roles and experiences within CHSVA, ensuring broad perspectives in our ongoing efforts.
Each year, we engage staff through surveys to identify key areas of focus and shape our inclusion initiatives. Our action plan includes trainings, policy reviews, conversation groups, and targeted activities designed to promote fairness and improve our services. Through these efforts, we continuously strengthen our ability to support children and families with cultural responsiveness and empathy.
