Adopting An Infant

AT CHILDREN’S HOME SOCIETY, WE BELIEVE
EVERY CHILD DESERVES A HOME.

Since our non-profit agency was chartered in 1900, we have placed more than 13,000 children into permanent, loving homes.

Our agency offers a full range of adoption services, including a home study, placement, supervision and counseling. Although most of the children served through our Infant Program are healthy, we also place children who are HIV positive or born with medical issues like spina bifida or cerebral palsy.

Since 1998, we have been helping Virginia’s children in foster care through our Foster Care Adoption Program. Nationally recognized, this program provides adoption support services to get children out of the public foster case system and into permanent adoptive families. Our orientations are held regularly to educate prospective parents about the adoption process. Because adoption is a lifelong experience, post-adoption services are available to those encountering challenges in the years following placement.
